Whats the verdict so far?

What have you guys seen so far on with the new sleds? Last weekend I rode with all brand new sleds from every company except yamaha. I felt like a loner with my old '04 rev x. But how it played out for us it the 700 dragon didnt quite have it although they are a couple grand cheaper so not a bad sled. Motor ran great I just think their chassis still needs some work. The m1000 snopro got me by about 2 sled lengths every pull but I personally watched the new xp take the m1000. What have you guys noticed and where did all the '07s and before go? I have never seen so many new sleds in one trip ever. Just for clearification, this is just a witnessed thread. What I saw may not be what you saw interested. Like said in a few other threads though, it is nice to see all brands in the same playing field again, with the rider forward position and strong running motors.

You know you can't compare mountain sleds by drag racing them any more. Was your experience based on climbing hills?

For instance the 08 and 07 M sleds have a soft lugged track now and don't blast off line like they did in 06. More like 05's ATKs.

I've seen boodocker boxed M7's beat the M1000 in a drag, but... try that on a hill climb.

Deep powder and hills are the test with the way sleds have specialized in the past couple of years.

I know what you mean about the new sleds... it seems like everyone and their dog has a new sled this year. I rode Brohm yesterday and 5 out of the 8 guys we saw were on new xp's.

Well I think they were all good boondocking sleds. I never tried boondocking with the m chassis but it look very easy to boondock with. I felt comfortable on the xp but it would have a taken me awhile to feel comfident on the dragon from my rev. Just a way different feel I think. Then what I am comparing mainly were highmarks on a steep/deep hill. Ur right, drag racing them doesnt really count and we really diddnt do that a whole lot so can't even say results in that category.
