What's the latest about the chain rub fix?

Has anyone been updated about the chain rub issue?

My 2008 KTM EXCR rubbed bad with the stock chain and 13 tooth sprocket. So I bought a 14 tooth sprocket, new chain, and half link. Honestly I feel Timbersled should fork up for the parts I had to buy. My dealer has the same problem and said he has reached out to Timbersled but has not recieved a response yet.

A few weeks ago I Saw something on the facebook page about "they are working on a fix and it will be available soon".

Still waiting..... :violin:

need a fix kit for the chain rub

I too have had the same rub problem. I hope TS is monitoring this and that more of us post our dissatisfaction, this is no diff than a vehicle recall should be, its a serious issue for the integrity of the TS frame and of course the bushing.
I replaced my chain with a stronger and slightly smaller DiD VT2 chain, and used a dealer recommended spring recoil that I drilled / mounted myself - it holds the recoil sprocket with some downward pressure that should keep it from allowing the chain to bounce up and grind the chassis / bushing. I'll take a pic an post to this thread tomorrow.

I made this. It's been working great.

This is awesome, looks better than my fix. Which my response to the OP would be to stop holding your breath and make your own.
I used a piece of UHMW and cut a strip, then heated it and bent it into a U, then clamped it on, more heat, grinded down front edge for extra sprocket clearance. Drilled holes in back end and strapped it on.

I was worried about it wearing out the zip ties, but chain hasn't contacted them since they are further back, almost to the chain tensioner. Has stayed put nicely.

Hey Alan, what's the fix? This is pretty lame that we haven't heard a response from Timbersled yet.

If my frame gets sawed through, are you guys going to buy me a new one? :face-icon-small-dis

We've been patient, but the no response is a bit of a bummer. This peice should've been included in the kit!
