whats the diff between a shift 155 600 and an rmk 600 155?

have an opportunity to pick up an 08 shft 600 155 for a good deal but whats the diff from an RMK model?

Are the 08 600's fuel injected or Carbed as it has a "vari-flo" altitude adjuster on it

anyone have some insight? send me a PM or whatever

I think the shift was designed as a cheap sleeper. They only used the carbed motor (600 HO) versus the optional CFI (early) or only th CFI in the newer RMK's.

There were no stickers to speak of on it (graphics on the hood), it also used an older style analog gauge package instead of the newer electronic style. I think the shocks would likely have been the entry level with coil springs.

So really, no graphics, no CFI, no fancy shocks, no digi-gauges. If you can live without those, you will enjoy the heck out of it.

Almost right...No ugly stickers. The 08 RMK Shift 155 HO or course has carbs. On paper, 5 hp less than the RMK cfi version. Throw a SLP pipe and can and some extra intake vents and the HO will wake up..thats about 10 more ponies Approx. Still cheaper than the cfi version.

In re to the gauges...08 RMK Shift has the same Gauges as my 08 Dragon. No analog gauges at all..short track versions do.

Shocks are coil shocks that work better than the walker evans on the front. I am nopt a fan of these Walker Evans..had to dink with them every season for one thing or another. The shift is a great bang for the buck. The Black hood has some sparkle in it..it looks way better than the RMK stickered out hoods and looked better than my Red Dragon hood.

so are the carbed engines good and relieable like typical polaris RMKs are then?

what should a guy be paying for one in canadian dollars with 680 km's on it, and is supposedly a 10 out of 10 condition wise. how much cheaper in realation were they than the dragons ect, as i just missed out on an 08 dragon 700 for $7500 with 800 Miles on it, damn it!

The guy wants $7200, to much?

sorry one more question, what with the "vari-flo" altitude compensator? do they work good and reliable and do they totally get you around the jetting issues? what do you think?

thanks for the help guys
