What is the longest lasting belt to run on these sleds? The 2311115 polaris belt is $170, are the carlisle belts just as good for $90? I have also been told the cat 0627-048 belt is the same as the 2311115 belt except half the price? Any suggestions?
the 0627-048 cat belt is off of their 660 4-stroke touring sled.... if you dont want to spend the money on the 115 then run the 122 i run both and the only difference is that the 122 heats up a little quicker and you have to let it cool more often or just do what i do and switch belts a lot, makes them last longer as well.
I talked to a forum memeber that ran the cat belt on a turbo poo last season and it outlasted the carlisle belts. I just ordered a 2311115 and a cat belt,I guess I will share my review after I try them both out.
i was super skeptical about the cat belt when i first heard about it as you can see in my above post... after hearing over and over again about people running it, i ordered two. measurements are pretty much the exact same as the 115 and the compounds appear similar. with that said i will be running the 048 belts my first couple rides and see how they hold up. will report back what i find
I ckd the cat 048 belt out at the cat dealer yesterday, the rating on the belt is softer than what cat runs on the M8, or the M1000 and also the 115 Po belt. It is a good belt just wondering if its to soft?? Remember Polaris went to a harder belt, after yrs of running a softer one, and then their belt life jumped up, or even doubled. In the hills we work the belts harder than touring down the trail. Just looking for a few more thoughts from you fellows, may be even from a few more guys that have ran it. Thanks
We got 1400 miles on our turbo Pro RMK and it looks like bran new yet!and that is a polaris recomended belt... ran them on my stock pro rmk as well as my turbo. i wouldnt run anything else then the 115 belt in my opinion.
I originally got the idea to run the cat belt from a dealership that was running them on their turbo polaris sleds. I believe Skibreeze on here was running the cat belt as well. For half the price it is worth trying IMO.
Carsile Ultimax xs belt are low cost and come with a 1 year warranty. I think the # is 308 but not sure. You just send in the old belt with $20...be patient and a brand new free one in the mail. Its pretty sweet to get a replacement for $20. They seem to last as long as any other belt.
