What's new with the 2014's?

Been looking around trying to find something on the major changes with the 2014. What has anyone came up with. More power, semi direct injection. . . . . . ??

They just came out with BNG!!! lol

They`ll make changes. Changes to tolerances, suspention valving or springs, QC changes. engine changes and they won't tell you a thing. Ask them why.

I do know they annouced to the dealers better specs on the belt. You can replace yours next year.

Assuming you mean the QD belt?

Yep, new QD belt for 2014 and probably some different tolerances or maybe it will just be some new magic paint marks for the QC part of the line. It doesn't need a complete redesign. Seems to have stabilized in actual use quite fine for most.

You have to remember the #'s here. It doesn't help anyone that did have an issue but 100 hand assembled test sleds with a 100 different test riders will never find out as much as 4 or 5 thousand production line sleds with 4 or 5 thousand different riders will.
If you have an issue you use your warranty. If you thought there would be no improvements to a first year QD sled, IMO you were a little too optomistic.

But same glued together drive line though lol... That and the motors are under power (I think) those reasons why I just ordered a new M8000 TTT

New color and graphics options, new wrap options, new snowcheck accessory options. This 2014 model won't exactly be a snooze, by any means. It should be the most refined Pro RMK yet. They should have the quality control issues on the assembly process figured out. They should have the assembly of the glued components dialed in, and the quickdrive belt will be made of a sturdier compound for better tolerance to heat and stress. The sleds should just be runners. And if a Pro RMK 800 or 600 is too "out-of-date" or "out-of-style" for you cutting edge guys, give it about 11 months and you'll probably start seeing some teasers of the change coming for 2015

I can ride circles around the Pro Climb with my Pro (with me on them of coarse). I don't dig that chassis at all. AC made it with the intention of putting a 4 stroke motor in them. Don't believe me? Just ask Yamaha.

I bet if Polaris added another 0 on the decal it would give them more power...lol. Im an AC fan, they dig such big deep trenches for avalanche recovery...always good to have one in the group for fast digging!

In my year's of riding iv never towed a cat or doo back but have towed several of pol back in. if you ride a pol just make sure you have a cat or doo with you and strap.:face-icon-small-coo

Not saying stupid for riding a pro just make sure you have your pol tool kit with you thats a tow strap.

Really?? In the last 2 years its been the other way around for me since I switched to Poo from my Doo's for the last 15 years. Not saying they are bad but that dang electronic key thing is a Major pain:face-icon-small-con We have to tow the same guy out 3 times now on 2 different Doo's. So maybe we are just cursed with bad luck with the people we ride with??:face-icon-small-dis:face-icon-small-dis

You're laughing at the Polaris drivetrain and then turn around and bought a new Cat? Give your head a shake.

I've been watching the "underpowered" 2013 Pro RMK run circles around the ditch trenching XM and the belt eating Pro Climbs all season.

My tool kit does include a tow rope. Still in it's original wrapper. :face-icon-small-hap

This could be debated for eternity, who gives a s**t ride what you want and when it breaks fix it and move on, jump ship to a new brand with new problems, whatever your hearts desire. You have to ride many different sleds in every kind of terrain to really know for yourself and then decide.
