As Im trying to get informed for this upcoming election I have been trying to read up on the plans of the candidates for their presidency. I came along this on Obamas website and its very vauge so I was wondering what truly is his plan here with tax cuts? What is obamas plan on taxation for all classes and tax cuts he has planned if any?

Obama will cut income taxes by $1,000 for working families to offset the payroll tax they pay.

Provide a Tax Cut for Working Families: Obama will restore fairness to the tax code and provide 150 million workers the tax relief they need. Obama will create a new "Making Work Pay" tax credit of up to $500 per person, or $1,000 per working family. The "Making Work Pay" tax credit will completely eliminate income taxes for 10 million Americans.

I get the jist of this but not sure what his plan is to accomplish all of this.

I don't see how he plans to provide middle class americans with tax relief when he talks about raising taxes to proved additional money to give to third world countries to fight poverty.

He plans on taxing the dog snot out of anyone making more than (I think it was) 200k. As well as RAISING taxes on gas by as much as 1.50 a gallon since driving is a privilage, not a right.

This guys SERIOUSLY scares me.
McCain is an idiot, but Obama is flat out scary nuts.

His plan is no different that any other crooked politician. Until this country gets term limits to stop career politicians who have no touch of reality and controls this ridiculous amount of spending of our tax dollars nothing really matters.

Obama's plan will be a liberal/socialist plan. Leave the Ultra elite rich alone because they contribute alot to campaigns. The rich will feel some burden. The working class middle america will get hit hardest an Obama will take away from the working class the most because there are more of us than the others, an well, mostly just because he can. The free loaders and welfare class will get more than they ever have because how better to get re-elected than give a bunch of people who don't work and don't want to work something for nothing and all the while blaming the republicans for the economy.

I guess I just dont understand the logic in punishing people for success and to tax people much more cause they make more money is doing just that.. Incentive is what has made this country so successful and given the american people the drive to make something out of their lives..

I think the problem lies in pork barrel spending in government.. If they were to manage the money they actually have right now in order to rid this country of debt instead of taxing the living heck out of its citizen it would be much better.

The only things I see rasing taxes in any way would do is, Give the government more of our money to mismanage, sink small bussinesses (which in my opinion are taking the brunt of this "punishment of taxes" more than any big business), cause bussiness to move outside our borders cause it is cheaper to run with much less regulation, and give less money to the citizens to spend and therefore help the economy
