08 M1000 night hawk(or whatever the blacked out ones are called)
900 miles on sled almost all with turbo. BD RG turbo installed with intercooler, bdx light drive, CE, timbersled skid, boss seat, cracked hood, different tri keel skis, clutched and ready to go .
The guy scared the pistons and it has new jugs and and pistons with no miles. I have done that before and scared them within a mile of the truck a few times, So it kinda scares me this one could do it to.
Need to know as he wants money now.
What would it take to make this a better sled, right now the bd box isn't a ada just the old school one.

As is I would say $10,000 or $11,000. You are going to be around $800 to fix unless there is more damage (that is factoring in a replate on both cylinders and new pistons along with the appropriate gaskets), but you say he has all this stuff new so no cost there for you.

I would pull it apart and make sure you have the upgraded airbox with the upgraded sealing rings. I personally like the older non ADA box better, but that is just my opinion.

I would test the air temp sensor as I see those go back frequently with this setup and can cause failure. I would check for boost leaks as well. Other than that you should be fine.
 
I'd say more like $12,000 - $13,000.

$10k - 11k would be a sweet deal with the skid, CE and new top end. If it really has only 900 miles. The sled should be good for around 900 more miles till it goes BOOM!:face-icon-small-ton
 
I agree, I really didn't look the extras over. You have about $3000 in extras on that bad boy. The other thing that I am preaching to people is that we all have to remember that new stock sleds are $13000! So if you can get a 2007-2010 with a turbo on it for that price it is a good deal!!!

I guess if I am selling it is a $15000 sled.

If I am buying, $11,000:face-icon-small-win right?
 
The sled is together so it starts and runs(just idled it) but worried about the pistons scaring again. I would most likely take the kit off and put it on my 09. Then sell the skid, diamond light drive, skis, CE. Any takers. But the way I see it is the sled itself is only worth 4500 without the turbo. The bd kit could use some major upgrades prob about $2000 worth. A turbo Kit is anywhere from 5-7g's so seeing how this kit need 2g's worth its worth 3g's used as is. That make the sled worth 7500, then add in the skid(which I don't care for) 500 the rest is a wash so 8000 and not sure how solid it is. Thinking I might be better off just buying a kit for my 09.

yup, id rather start with an 09 and a newer kit

if you do get it, SNOW JW will give you some solid no-BS info on what it needs and does not need

i have money in hand to buy a good used CE 162
