they are the EXACT same fuel pump assembly..the ONLY difference is the fuel pressure regulator inside..

i wouldnt run the 06 reg in the 05...take them out and switch the reg...the fuel pressue is way to high and will create alot of fueling concerns.

the 06 runs 118psi (8 bar)
the 05 runs 58psi (4bar)

are you for sure running the 06 pump then in your 05? did you check the fuel psi?

previous owner may have installed it not knowing the dif.

yeah I brought it to the dealer after my mid range bog didn't clear up and they put a gauge on the rail and it's over 100 psi and from what it looks like the sync plates on the throttle body have been played with to maybe allow the extra fuel.... I thought I had an 06 as well because my registration says 06 but when you look at the vin and the motor only having two injectors it's a late model 05 the polaris tech said...... I'm bummin just a bit but want this monster running right again

you can get 05 fuel pumps all day on ebay...or send a PM to Z-man, he may have an 05 fuel pressure regulator for you...i know i have some at my house, but im kinda in korea, lol.

just switch the reg out to an 05 and ride on man, its a very simple switch.

I wonder if Z-man could get it to me before the weekend? When the dealer has to order polaris parts it's 4 days out
