I don't think much will happen with the Markets either. He said he wanted to raise the Cap gains tax but now that the gains are all gone he wont care.
It's not about what people have gained or lossed in the past, it come down to the question about incentive for investing more in the future. Higher taxes means less investment and less overall tax revenue. History has proven lower cap gains brings in more tax revenue, but it's not fair... boo freaking hoo. Use some sense people!!

Markets will do good in the short term due to consumer confidence, but tank soon after due to super big company losses. Then the great depression.
I just figured with his no drilling and high taxes plan it would be a disaster!
its already factored in. now we wait for long term effects or him to do something stupid which is sure to be a habbit
Freaks right, hasn't everyone ever noticed that stocks fall right before an election. Part of the massive falls in the stock market are due to the "uncertainty", and prediction that Oman would take the election. Now, we wait and see if he pulls another internet bubble out of his asz, like Clinton did. He's betting everything on the alternative energy market, being the next bubble. He'll do it through legislation.
Anyway, odds are were screwed. Might want to save your money for the land fights, the forest managers are seeing land closures, so their already changing forest plans. Anyone notice what happened in Yellowstone today?
