? What will an apex run with all lightend up and suspension work done?

I assume you are talking about NO Boost?

Depends on the rider. My 06 Apex has right around 100lbs take off it. Fabcraft rear skid, Timbersled front end, All 4 float shocks. High ride seat, very light weight under tunnle exhaust, 7s battery, no parking brake, Etc.....

It does also have a 15 wide extreame on it which helps a bunch too.

700's no problem at all. 800's, depends on the sled and rider. Beat many 800's, but some of the 10's and 11's run very well right out of the box. Eric

same here my apex has no problem haning with any new 800

EDIT: plus i'm the only one with the 800's that has the power to tow the 2 smokes out :)

If you sink a bunch of $$ into the Apex you can get get it pretty close to 600lbs ready to ride. My Rx I had down to 609 full of everything pre-turbo, so do the math compared to a 2 stroke which in reality is probably in the 540 range. So basically you've got a 50- 60 lb weight penalty to deal with. All that said there isn't a better motor on the snow IMO so its worth the penalty. Its worth it to spend the money if you plan to keep the sled for 4 or 5 years cause the motor just won't quit and it makes really good power. In the 4 or 5 years you'll do a couple of top ends on the 2 stroke not to mention the $10-15 a day oil habit (which I don't miss) the Apex is gas and go. There are some really good deals on Apexes right now where guys have already put some parts onto them. I just bought one pretty cheap.

I've taken about 46lbs off my Apex with various mods and also have the Challenger Extreme and Simmons Gen 2 skiis. I can hang with the 800's in my area, when the snow sets up a little or has a bit of a base it will beat some of them as well. The weight penalty only comes into play on a long pull in bottomless pow. But as said earlier it is the best motor on the snow.
