what vents work

I know there are a plethora of vents out there. But which ones work. I'm concerned about the lower exposed ones, such as shock tower and side vents. alot of sticks stabbing in what we ride. we constantly pull hitchhikers out of our a-arms and float plate. Do knee vents help much? concidering its already slotted?

Thanks guys

I put the Holtz shock tower and knee vents on. Look good and well built. My temp is always around 124 degrees and the belt does not show any wear.

If your doing shock towers you might as well do upgraded knee vents for more flow through the sled. I have Mountain fit shock towers with Carls knee vents works well. As for the vents themselves most are very similar, as for protection and material used. Find the style you like best, and let your sled breath!

Mountainfit hoods and vents is the way to go. Top of the line products maid by top of the line people. Second to none in any aspect.

You can carefully take your plyers and bend the lovers on the knee vents and increase the size of the opening quite a bit..a free upgraded vent. I have done it on both the turbo and the stocker and you cant tell by looking at it at all.

How come Polaris doesn't put the hood that goes on the trail fan IQ onto the other IQ's? It has a lot more venting on the hood. Wouldn't that help?

Because dumping raw snow on the exhaust/engine/clutches isn't good for a mountain sled....

i'd go with 2cool air vents on the side panels, best bang for the buck in my opinion, and the least prone to having a pine branch punch through. I haven't put on shock well vents yet because I am afraid of decimating them with shubbery. Then I would go with the SLP Dash Vent for the intake side of things.

I used the Mod Rod hood and side cover vents on my sled and they seem to keep things nice and cool. The price was reasonable, and looks good IMO.

MountainFitHoods..

Bill is flat out awesome...and has bent over backwards for me, has set me up well and his vents have been flawless...and i ran them through hell...and never an issue..

hard to beat for the price...but in reality, every vent out there has been tested by a sledder..so they are all doable..
