I have a 210 m8 162 and have been looking for a turbo kit. I have been looking at the ovs aero kit I have ruled out boondocker due to the crap they put me through with my apex. I also was looking at the twisted turbo but I sure like the clean fit of the aero--- Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Go with the twisted turbo, I have a buddy that has one on his M8 and it rocks. He has had no issues with his and it is a nice clean set up. Also Shane is great to talk to for any technical questions.

turbo

Have you looked into Push Turbo? Seen them at hay day this last summer, they look good. And think they install pretty quick. Never ran one with it on but looks like good part, worth the look.

hey

I would not turbo your 2010... high compression then the 2009. Are you wanting a pump gas turbo or a race gas set up? boondocker has a nice setup minus their new ebc (electronic boost controller). put a lower compression head on your sled so you can get more boost. friend of mine has an 09 with boondocker setup and runs 8lbs flawless on pump gas. always runs consistent never messes with his numbers. no ebc. the turbo pipes arent worth the cash you lose to much lowend for a gain on top end. plus you gotta wrap that boondocker pipe to hold the heat. find someone to trade you your 2010 headfor an 09 head and then turbo it. remember the aero turbo is one big piece. if somethin breaksyou replace the whole thing. garrett turbo is nice cause you can take it apart.

i agree w/ you on this. i am taking my sled to eric at vohk in two weeks to get my pg boondocker. we need to swap my 10' head w/ an 09' and were going to run 7 lbs boost. if anything else get a cutler, but i cant live w/ a front dump exaust

Good luck!

Good luck with that! i've been waiting 3 months for my pg. i just told him to forget it!! what a joke!!!

I just was looking at kits i saw that twisted has their kit about 2 g less than most not sure why. I learned alot with the Apex build and the Nytro build. I want a pump gas setup race gas to exspensive. I want a turn key and go with a close to stock or stock muffler. Loud sleds are lame and they are getting us kicked outa the forest by the greeeeeeenies. I liked the aero just because its self contained.

Call Jeff Meidinger at dakota performance (701)452-4212. He has pushers running pretty good, know his cat's!

Twisted are a great set up. I would rather spend way less on port work, head and pipe on a m1000 that will run as hard or harder than any true pump gas, on pump gas. It's been proven. It's just money though!!!!.

My BD kit w/ EBC has been flawless this year. The turbo pipe rips and its built for better low and mid range. The pipe is thicker to withstand the pressure of the turbo so you need to wrap the pipe to keep the heat in or if it's on a 2010 you can use the stock heat shield. If you know how to use the ebc it's sweet. If you have a race gas kit, it's far better than a boost t. The ebc has a fuel board that distributes the increased power requirements of the fuel pump to different stator windings preventing stator damage. They also have the ability to run the stock fuel pump up to 400hp with the EBC, saving you money on the RG upgrade. Intercoolers are a BD option and so far I'm seeing about 130 degree charge temps with mine at 11 lbs of boost. All of the kits mentioned are good kits, I would stay away from an Areocharger though. Push has a nice looking kit but lately Ken has been hard to get a hold of. Dale Cutler and Shain Stanger almost always answer their phones. OVS has a nice Areo kit if that's what you want.

Take a look at push turbo. the quality and craftsmanship are unmatched by anyone else they are a work of art....i saw them all at the salt lake show. And all his kits use external wastegate turbos which is a big plus....very few are using these

cpc stage II

I would recommend calling Cutlers and talking to Dale about his stage II kit before you make your final descision. I have really been impressed with the quality of the parts, cutler service, and the way the sled flat out preforms. Even better you can bolt his kit on yourself if you have the skill . I was skeptical about the front dump as all my other turbos have been side dumps. I LOVE the front dump. I don't have to wear ear plugs and my ears don't ring after a day of riding. I have never had the sled bog even in over the hood snow. I was worried at first about cutlers cold air intake. Nope. flawless. No problems whatsoever. Not saying the others aren't as good. Just want you to get what you are really looking for. DB

Defiantly talk with Dale at CPC Racing outstanding customer service, great quality. Local dealer has run a 09 M 8 for the past year with no problem and this is demo sled.
I have an 08 M 1000 that I just complete and in the tuning stages now. Dale is very good at helping the everyday guys with a little mechanical ability.

Cutlers has great customer service! The only downside i see with that kit is the front dump exhaust. I do not have boost but i do have the tunnel dump can on my m1000 and would never have anything but a tunnel dump exhaust on an m series going forward. It would be a toss up between cutlers and boondockers for me

Talk to OVS and see what their opinion is about the Aero. I'm still considering the Aero myself. They do not sell junk. They also have a Tial Garrett setup.
