What track on hill climbers ?

I used an Assault track with 5 screws per pitch on a 13 Pro. I believe most of the folks use a pretty stiff track.

How did you do Dan?
Not as well as I'd hoped:tape2: I was the second guy up the hill on Thursday morning, the course was hard & frozen. I was REALLY slow through the last few gates before the timing lights where they stopped us at the first catwalk.

Most of the Pro riders had stock tracks full of screws this year. I did see a Viper with an assault track. If you run a turbo, the assault track won't last long. They come apart quick. But ultimately it depends on the snow conditions. As stated, stiff is best. Each year, the Snow Devils talk of banning cleats but it's still being used.

McClure was using the 2.6 with a traction screw in each finger, but i think that May have been on a stock sled and swaps may not be allowred

Stock class, stock tracks just trimmed for traction screws. You will see a lot of mod sleds with Peak 2.5 tracks, some Assault tracks. Improved and Mod guys will use older OEM tracks cut down and save the stock tracks to swap back for selling. The '07 Doo hillclimber tracks are still around. I had a finger track that was awesome when you needed traction. Also won quite a few water drag races running that track but.....
