120 Yeti if you are under 200lbs. I got the opportunity to ride a KTM 250/300 SX with a 120 YEti this winter and It was SUPER fast!!!! I am going to build a Yamaha YZ250/ Eric Gore 300 next winter.
The light weight of the Yeti and the reduced rolling resistance made this bike. It was way faster than my 300XC TS SX I had a few seasons ago.

I agree on the 120"s for track speed and remember the 2017 MotoTrax kits have even less rolling resistance. We can run them all day long on 250fs, 300 two strokes straight up destroy the mountain when you can get that track speed up.

I ran a timbersled st kit on a 2008 300 xc-w this winter. No performance mods, just stock bike w fmf fatty pipe. I had lots of fun but at no point did i have more power than i needed. I would only consider a 129 if you get pretty serious with some hp mods.
120 hell wish I would have done that on my cr500

137 works well too. I personally feel that a 129 is ideal
