what to keep in the '07 M8 repair kit

I'm brand new to sledding and bought an '07 M8. I've read through tons of posts on this forum and even already checked on my diamond drive. Even bought the 5203 bearing, but haven't had time to have the gear machined to fit it. Fixed the leaking oil filler cap, installed a new donut with RTV at the Y-pipe because the old one was eaten away and allowed oil to spit all over the otherwise very clean and stock engine compartment. I'll probably double spring it too. Need to fill up the oil reservoir and fuel tank, mark things and figure the oil burn ratio (it has 800 miles on it), then figure out how to adjust the oil pump if needed.

Looking into a single sled deck or two place trailer (asked for suggestions in the trailer forum).

I'm thinking I have a pretty good tool kit and safety kit set up. But, since I've never done any of this, I have no idea what I'll probably break the first couple of trips up the mtn. So, other than a spare belt, spare plugs, extra fuel and oil, what else should I have?

Thanks for all the good info!

50' of good rope to tie and pull someone home, or get pulled home. 2 weeks ago I used it to wrap up the left side A-arms that were busted in two and drove it back 7 miles with out any problem. Have used rope to get a sled off of a hill that we roped down tree to tree.

a strap wrench or a right size oil filter wrench to counter twist the secoundary makes changing the belt a piece of cake in under a minute with the brake held on or parking brake one...

I carry a whole slew of tools, probably too much as I bet it makes up 10# of my backpack.

Some absolute musts, IMO are:

-Small spring puller
-magnet for picking up things you drop
-Light, I like the stylus LED lights
-1/4" drive socket, with sockets of the common size I might need
-zip ties
-Small crecent wrench
-small pair of needle nose plyers
-duck tape, I just wrap some on a 1/2" bolt
-pocket knife
-wratchet strap
-50' of rope as mentioned

Then all your standard tools that come in your tool kit. I carry a few other things, but that should cover a lot of what might happen in the field.

i wrap a bunch of duck tape and electrical tape around my shovel handle, saved me a few times now!

shovel with saw in the handle is key!
hand warmers
magnesium fire starter/lighter
small small tarp (to put under track if have to to pull a guy out or keep snow from melting on you in cave/shelter ect.

your gonna be addicted!!!!
