What to do with 166 belt

Wondering what my options are for a unused 166 belt left over from last year, I bought three last year and only used two of them, I just found this one and was wondering if they'll still swap it out with the good 377 belt.

when you pull the big chutes on the hero snow, when the d8, m8 can't make. at the top throw a belt on each ski to slow your decent.

Give a buddy with an older Rev a good deal on a belt. They are still great belts just not for the XP.

My dealer (Steel Dreams Burlington, WA) swapped my unused (extra) 166 straight across for a 377. No questions asked. And for that, they have earned my business on all my toys. Great people (Greg, Mark, and Doug) that understand that C/S does come before making a buck or two.

You will always make more in the long run.

If its new still in the sleave, you shouldn't have a problem trading it in on a new 377, catch is you will have to pay the difference.

Crappy thing is that BRP dropped the price of the 166's this year, so you end up having to pay more.

nice to see Doo reducing price of 166's!:) must be a bombr first...cause prices usually go up! the cost of the 377 is absolutely stupid...and probably a huge markup! the costs for manufacturing the 2 belts are probably no diff!

My 166 works ok in my 07, but i heard something about the 377 being better. I know the compound is harder for the higher temps and it's a micron wider and shorter. My 166 does ride a little loose even when it's flush with the top of the secondary. Anyone have an opinion? Sorry for the hijack...:beer;

My brother ran the 377 belt on his 07 and it didnt work for him. It seemed almost too hard of a composition for the 07, like it would just slip in the sheaves instead of gripping the belt. You would think the heat produced by the clutches would soften it up! He ended up taking it back and getting a 166. I talked to a skidoo rep from utah and he said the 377 is harder, and the "threads" inside of it run length wise in the belt as opposed to the 166 that runs the width of the belt. I have always run the 166 on mine and they seem to work great for me.
