What to do in Portland?

I'm in Portland for the next 3 days for training, it ends at 5 each day, what do the locals recommend - places to see, spots to dine, beers to drink, strippers to tip? I dont have a car so it would have to be something accessible by public trans. or taxi, any suggestions?

Not a local but the public trans there is quite good.

Also lots of breweries and strip clubs on almost every block it seems

Google "Portland Breweries" for a really big list. McMemamins, Full Sail, and, McTarnahans all have good beer. And I like the food at McTarnahans too.


Don't forget to have some IPA


As far as strippers, I quit too many years ago to give you a recommendation LOL.


But, you should tip them all well.

Lots of brew pups. Hit up the Rogue Brew Houses, one of them has a Rum distillery and they give tours...it was really pretty neat to learn. Didn't hurt I had a pint of Rouge in hand during the tour.

Lots of brewery's... and make a trip out to the coast...

Not alot to do here right now other than drink beer and go to the many strip clubs if you're so inclined. The rain kinda puts a damper on outdoor activities. Public transportation is pretty good...MAX, streetcars, bus service, etc are everywhere.

Definantley hit some of the local hot spots. The Dancin Bare, The Veiwpoint and Club I-5 just for starters! All come highly recomended!

Today was kind of a bust, we started out at 3:30 AM to head to Boise and catch a plane, so when the class ended at 5 all I was looking for was a nap. Ended up just eating here at the hotel and watching baseball, but the Black Butte porter was pretty good, I love Guinness and this stuff was every bit as good! Better luck tomorrow I guess, sorry to disappoint any strippers looking for my singles.

I saw that both times but the wife said no Oh well her grandpa had Oly waiting at the house for me. I think the poor guy drove around for 3 hours trying to find it.
