What target rpm for the boost?

What is the actual target RPM for the boost, I've got a '24 with a p85 conversion and Tony's Clutching. About 8550/8600.

Rode the '25 stock boost that's in our group the last day on our trip. And it was running 8600

Seems a little spicy? Thought I read somewhere they wanted to be at around 8450.

Ride usually around 10k.
 
Run it at 8600 and check track speed, add 2 gram heavier weights go to same hill same day and check track speed. I'd bet it will be higher around 83 8400 over 8600. Also the higher the rpm on a cat the less efficient they become. Turbo motors like load. If your rpm is bouncing from 86 to 84 that is telling you at 8600 the engine is falling off its peak and then trying to recover.
 
We target 8500rpm, regarding the stock Polaris Boost mountain sleds, with a hot pipe. Utilizing your information.
There are variables in sled production that influences a range in running rpm.
If you get one that is stacked well, it’s a runner. If not, we have seen them as well.

They both seem to run good. Wish would of got the chance to run them SxS and jump back and forth the same day to see the p85/p22 difference. Hopefully next trip out. Definitely a world of difference coming off a NA 850 axys.... turbo, short tunnel, 3.25 track. Definitely a game changer

Bottom end def comes in smoother on your combp then p22


Seems like 8450/8500 is the magic spot on them. Any higher and they are just zingy. Less go then noise.

As Tony mentioned aome sleds just seem to run a bit harder too. Same clutching some boosts pull 8400 some pull 8600

Give us a comparison of your p85 set up vs the stock clutching. What are the pros and cons with your set up. I've been running TRS clutching in all my sleds prior to the P22 and love it. Just have never ridden a boost with the p85 conversion to be able to actually compare. I've run aftermarket clutching in my P22 and went back to stock because stock was actually better for what I wanted.
 
Will do in a out 2 weeks, hopefully.

Main reason I went with a p85 conversion, we live in iowa. And ride out west. The p22 was my only concern with the boost from day 1. Which I know, check Torque and maintenance and they seem to be better, which im pretty good about. But 1 too many youtubers showing a p22 go flying. Wanted the piece of mind.

Hopefully sled will be fixed for the next trip, thru a mag side aux injector code. Last weekend. At the dealer now. Suppose to flash the '25 tune in it as well.
