What supplies do you bring with you while out riding

Im curious what supplies everybody brings out on the hill with them for a day of riding. Im gonna be putting together my "safety/supply" pack shortly and thought maybe I could get some good/new ideas on things that would be a good to have on ya, in case something happens in the backcountry?

Also, im looking for a bag or something to strap to the back of my sled so I dont keep everything in my backpack. (m-series) Before I spend 150$+ for a sled solutions or skinz or bag to throw my crap in, anybody have any knowledge or experience with something a little more cheaper? Im thinking 20-60$ range? There must be some nice bags for bikes or atvs or something near that pricerange...

It expands if you have a few extra's you had not anticipated carrying for a day.

I can usually fit all my sled supplies in the M shorty seat. Long Deep days I take my Mountain Addiction small storage and small gas container.

Mule tape for towing
Windproof Matches/lighters, firepaste, cotton balls soaked in vasoline, candles
Bivvy Sack & reflective heat blanket
Vise grips, leatherman, spring tool, other misc tools
Food, water
Hand Saw
First Aid kit
Whistle

Just to name a few...

These posts come up every year and lots of good info gets shared. Ill lists some of my stuff that may not have been listed yet.

Tool kit: Ratcheting screwdriver with common tips and Torx bits, adjustable wrench, several open end wrench, socket set and ratchet, Cold weather Zip Ties (not cheap ones), LOTS of hose clamps == you can fix MANY things with enough hose clamps. A open end wrench and hose clamps will allow you to ride out with a broken A-arm. I also have a few spare tie rod ends. 8mm Climbing cord in a few various lengths, Again this has many uses.

Survival: 2-3 different saws, a 10x10 tarp, climbing cord applies here too, 2-3 different ways to start a fire and fire sticks to get a fire started easy, Head lamp = this is a MUST if you are truly stuck out at night, you need both hands to work with. Cell phone with a charger and a way to charge it off sled. Signal Mirror, whistle, normal first aid stuff, Needle and thread, something to boil water in (muff pot). Plenty of food and water. Dry soup bags work great too.

I'm sure Im forgetting some stuff but this is a good start. Eric

i use the snobunge bag also and have a Polaris tunnel bag, i like the way the snobunge bag expands, as the day warms up you have lots of room to put clothes and not have to worry about things falling out or getting tangled in the track. i also carry three road flares that are vacuum packed and they fit in there good to.
