What sled?

So I'm in the market for a sled. Don't care if it is artic cat, polaris, ski-doo. Now my problem is I've heard good and bad from polaris and ski-doo. Now I'm not sure if it was random or if polaris had a problem but my friend had a dragon the caught fire and his dad's motor fried twice, his friend motor went out also. I like the dragons but I see a lot of them from sale and not sure if it is because of that. Now for ski-doos I haven't personally seen any problems. I know a lot of people get them but also read that they break a lot. Is that true? Haven't heard anything bad about artic cat. Reason for the post is to see if I should stick to one company or if it doesn't matter. thanks

I am a firm believer in Arctic Cat. BEST SLED OUT THERE. NO MATTER WHAT YOU BUY THEY ARE ALL HIGH MAINTENANCE. ONCE YOU GO CAT YOU'LL NEVER GO BACK. IM NOT BIAS AT ALL:face-icon-small-win

What type of riding do you do?? If you have no budget...I would recommend a Polaris Pro Ride RMK! IMO best sled ever made! The motor on the Dragon was good and better after the update was done and in 2011, they made it even better and more reliable!! It is the best handling sled on the market!

Well I do have a budget probably around 6 to 6,500. Yeah those new Polaris are sick and would have one if I didnt have a budget. I mainly do mountain riding climbing, boondocking, nothing crazy. Looking at m8, dragon, or xp

You might as well introduce politics and religion with that question.

I gotta say Arctic Cat not just because that's what I own but from a general maintenance, upkeep and durability they seems to be cheaper to own and run.

I wanted to recently buy a pair of 2011 Non current Skidoo Etec 800's and had $20 grand but couldn't get it done. I did get a come back from the Snowshow with a pair of 2011 M8's for $20 grand. Belts, parts of AC also seems cheaper.

That said what I really want is the weight of a Polaris, the reliability of a Yamaha, the Technology of Skidoo and the durability and price of a Cat.:face-icon-small-win
