What sled to take to Snowys?

My choices are:

2002 Summit 700 144" with can and riser

or

2005 M6 Stock 141" A20

Heading out there on Jan 5th

I like how the Cat handles but I am not a fan of the track on hardpack. Also the power of the 700 is a big benefit. Also the M6 seems to be a big gas guzzler...

Lets hear some input

I guess it depends on what you feel more confident and comfortable on. I have owned similiar sleds (2003 Renegade 600 144" x 2" and 2005 & 2006 M7's 153") and I would prefer your M6. Lighter and more nimble. Easier to throw around. Just my two cents.

I would have to agree the m chassie is great I like the way they handle much better than the zx skidoo but both would get the job done

That would be ideal haha but unfortunately we don't have the extra space for an extra sled.

I'm all about power, lol ill just come out and say it take the skidoo you will not reget it. bigger track and bigger HP. to me in your first post seem's like you want to take the skidoo anyway's.. take my word for it... great sled it will work well. hope you choose the skidoo and have fun!!!

PS. take the Artic cat next time!!!

You would have to go through the hassle of changing your username if you took the summit. That might be too much work:D

If they're both set up for that altitude

I'd go w/ the Summit. more power, just a tinch more track. Cat's probably lighter and has a bit better chassis, but if it's thirsty, may not be as snappy at altitude as the Summit.

M6

:DTake the M6 because The M-series Climbs really good and has almost as much power the The ski-doo!!

Thinking it either leaned out due to an iced up injector or the oil pump went out. Day 2 we made it a whole 2 miles from the lodge before it locked up. It ran like a raped ape right before it stopped. So my theory is that it leaned out and melted down.

The first day it was a dog no snap to it at all... That might have been a sign of its coming demise.

I'm planning on tearing it down this weekend to see if I can pin point the problem. It is going back together 700cc+ so it isn't a complete loss
