What skis work with XP?

cant comment on the xp but had simmons flex on my rev and switched back to the pilots, havent even bothered trying anything else on my xp. i would try the stock skis before you spend any money, they work very well for me in any conditions

Put some USI powder skis on mine this week, #3 keels. Awesome skis, really helped with the trails, no darting at all. Off the trail they rock, realy grab and make turning easy.

I tried the second carbide on the stock XP pilot skis for a while and it does help on the trail, however it didnt let the machine carve in low powder conditions so I switched to the slydog powderhounds with 6" shaper bars. Remarkable improvement both on trail and carving, they will be staying on.

Will be getting a 09 x 154 and have been wondering how the stock skis work. Was also wondering if anybody has the new wide simmons on their xp and how they work.

I have them and love them. You have to lighten up the ski pressure on the front end.

I have herd of a few guys that really like the slydogs on the XP. I know I will be switching to the Slydog Powderhounds over the summer. I personally think one of the reasons the XP doesn't like to lay over in the lower snowconditions is because of the stock skies. If you think about about it you pivit point on a ski is in the middle of the ski, where the most pressure is. Now all of sudden when you lay the sled over that pivit point moves 2 inches out temperally to the outside EXTRA carbide/carbide slot.

It would seem to me I have the right theory, but if it applys to this sled is another debate.

Either way you will save 4 1/2 pounds on the slydogs over stock so that is nice!!!

Put on a 2 wheel kit and you will really notice the difference laying over and sidehilling the XP!
