What Skid Plate??

The belly pan on my 01 XC 800 SP is broken (was when I got it) in the area that would be covered by a Skid Plate.

Belly pans are quite expensive and I am thinking of just putting a Skid Plate on it to cover up the damage and keep it from getting any worse.

I have seen a bunch of them on Ebay, and there is a wide variation in price.

Are the cheap ones junk, or will they hold up OK if not abused/crashed?

What about fit/ease of installation?

Any that fit/work much better than others, and if so, is it enough better to be worth the extra money?

Specific brand/part #s would be appreciated.

the 2 brands I would buy is polaris or holeshot, both are thick and about the same, very good to put them on those sleds

l see that Polaris offers a Standard Model and a Heavy Duty Model. I will probably either get the Holeshot or the HD Polaris.

Could someone please post photos of each of these model on their Edge Sled.
