what size rear idler wheels are you guys throwing on your xp's?

this may be a dumb question, but do u guys think the bigger wheels make that much of a difference? how much?

Just get them go through the after market book and get one of everything. You know you want too and your going to need anything that will help to hang with your friends riding Polaris and Yamaha's anyways.

9" 2 wheel inner kit from mountian machines fits and looks sweet. It also moves the track tension adjusters inside of the rail for a clean look.

do they have electric jackets or tunnel mount wet bars? they'd sure come in handy while i'm standin on the side of the mountain waitin for u to get ur yamascrap runnin again tranny.

I think there is a yamalounge on top of turbo mountain.....Too bad youll never get to see it.

Runn'in 8's

Runn'in the 8's with a narrow axle setup. I didn't think I needed to go larger, plus I was told if you go over 9" you risk bumping the tunnel if you bottom out the suspension.

do they have a mechanic there? then we could at least get yours fixed while the rest of us ride instead of freezin watchin u scratch ur head wonderin whats wrong.

I'll be running 10" from Tricked Toys with a Smitty axle kit - we'll see if it bumps anything - as I'm a test pilot for Smitty to try out the axle.

When you guys say you are running 8" are you actually switching to 8" aftermarket wheels or are you going with the stock size 7.9" (200mm = 7.87"? I know it's not much, but the wheel will be about 1/16" below the hyfax right?

Just curious I guess if you ran it last year with any problems... The more I think about it, there is no way that 1/16 will cause any problems that I can think of.

Yeah, the takeoff is always easier than the landing :)

Here is me last year trying to protect my rear wheels from impact:
