What size Carriage bolt fits T-slot on tunnel?

<Edit>
Thanks for all the info/suggestions here guys, this is what I came up with for mine.
See link: http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=262481
</Edit>

I'm looking to put together a gas rack and wondering what size bolt will fit/work well in the T slot?

I got the idea from one of CoyoteGirl's posts, she did this on a Dragon.

Also, considering a low profile eye bolt, with a nut and washer under and on top of the T-slot to hold it in place.
But feel better about distributing the weight using the same kinda setup CoyoteGirl did with the strap loop/footman loop.

Anyone else have ideas? Done something similar?
Looking to avoid the $100+ cost for 'other' gas can setups atm, just not in my budget atm.

i guess it depends how big your mad skills are.....

this is about $20 bucks in aluminum and hardware.

Thanks for the ideas.
Did you spacer your rack up over that wire cover with washers? Between your angle aluminum and Tslot? I may use that logic in my build to get around needing a rubber pad on the tunnel...
I'm also considering just using some angled aluminum, running along the edges of the tunnel, attached through the Tslots, then drill some holes for hook points.
Just as simple, and prob cheaper than four Footman Loops + hardware.

yes it sitting on 4 rubber bumpers that are on the carrage bolts, I dont think you would want much on the center of the tunnel.....i think that center is made from tin foil

here is a couple more pics

dug this out the trash. this is from home depot

you can see the bumpers smashed down to about a 1/4 inch here

Thanks.
Yeah, definitely want to gap that wire protector. I measured it out to ~1/4" as well.
Was thinking just stacking a few washers, but i like the rubber bumper idea too.
