what?? shutting down bc snomobiling

Haven't seen my comment posted yet, but it's a gooder. Alot more productive than 75% of that horsehsit that people have commented. It's too bad the number of arrogant people that have just as biased agenda as this heli-skiing fool. I can't figure out why so many people have their heads so far up their a$$ and still can't figure why everything is starting to stink these days. Little bit-o-green for ya letsgetrad.

I have an overwhelming feeling that the economy has a crunch on business and the twig finally snapped when he saw some tracks on 'his land' somewhere. I have met people exactly like this guy sounds and there is absolutely no way of figuring out how they can think the way they do. It is no where near the realm of being about snowmobiler safety OR saving the environment. He can't be that big of an enviro nazi and I can guarantee no 'Save the Planet' freako org. would give him a member spot when he's churning around in a chopper all day.

"Doesn't loud noises set off Avalanches ?

Is their a connection here ???????

No loudnoises =Less Avalanches.

Try cross country skiing .The enviroment thanks you.

Jeez.Boneheads."

Wow, to bad these idiots didn't do a bit more homework on what causes them and such rather than sitting in their glass houses throwing stones.

It's kind of like talking religion or politics with these guys. The only way you can defeat them is with numbers/members, clubs etc. Getting into a pissing match on a blog just fuels the fire.

But man would I like to throw some mud!!!

Maybe he's right. A lot of skiers die every year too. Maybe it's from excessively loud *****ing. If you can't beat someone, just change physics to meet your narrow view. I like most skiers, but there will always be a couple that make the rest look stupid.

Shut down BC snowmobiling? There going to have to call in an airstrike to stop some of us. I knew I should have ran over that R-tard the other day on skis.............

Its to bad that a heli skier wants to shut down sledding, so he can watch his profits rise. As if skiers arn't killed in the back country.
This is actually just retarted as he flys around in his helicopter that burns well over a barrel of fuel an hour.

Posted by me on the chat from the link. I will get my other one on here later.

This topic is about a business backed agenda from someone who is too biased to realize that multi-user public land can exist. I have skied, snowboarded, snowmobiled, boated, mountain biked, and hiked almost my entire life. Every single sport I have participated in has had participants that in one way or another defaced the environment. We cannot blame an entire sport for something because of a few careless people's actions. I would like to see all the people that posted negative comments set their 'personal opinion' aside and give a little thought about what it would take to co-exist in the backcountry. Write your local/state/province representative and suggest ideas that would be pro-active in keeping multiple sport recreation available to ALL users of the backcountry. Banning the PUBLIC from using PUBLIC land will never be the answer, and can only lead to what is already becoming a much too divided world.

Here's my second part. I just have to sit and laugh at the stupid crap some of these individuals come up with. We (snowmobilers) obviously need the 30 second dealer instruction when purchasing a sled and our 'shovels' on the track removed ;););););) Are you freakin kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shovels on our tracks!?!?!?!?!? Uneducated tools.

I think snowmobile horse power should be limited to 30 HP, and rev limiters to 5500rpm, and shovels on the tracks outlawed, noise decibels limited to 80db, and front skis limited to 35 inches in length by 4 inchs wide, no deeper than 1". Any body found circumventing the above would have the machine confiscated on the spot and destroyed.

All helicopters used for skiing should be regulated to be a maximum age of 2008 vintage as to be pollution friendly, with piston engines only, and be of 250HP only. Decibels at 100 ft should not exceed 50db, if so copter must be decommissioned till problem fixed."

Good luck buddy, hope you can back them with hundreds of millions of dollars for development & implementation. It's obvious the lack of education that is presented by a group primarily motivated by media slander and heresay. The simple statement "Guns don't kill people, people kill people". Take a look at all the posts that are Pro-Snowmobile on here. Vast majority are people willing to come to a common agreement to help out as a whole, not badmouth and initiate argumentative conversation about why others are inferior beings. Read my previous post and try to counteract the negativity.

-end of post-

p.s. - hope this wasn't a fellow snowesters wise crack attempt at sounding like a greenie because it sure fooled me. If it's really a thought out statement from a mobiler-hater i hope they read it and have a coronary figuring out what other stupid crap they can post up.

Here is one of biggest beefs and it not only applies to BC but other restricted mountain riding areas.

Lets all just take a step back and look at the big picture. First off think of the hundreds of thousands of square km's in BC alone that is 99.9% inaccessible. Now lets consider how many riding areas are accessible from highway/logging trail access. (not that many). We cant just airlift off to whatever bowl looks that looks interesting. Next step, how far can we really travel from our trucks if not packing serious fuel 50-60km one way? So we are limited to approx 100km radius of where we can park and ride from. This square footage is so small in respect to the size of the province it is not even funny.

To continue this rant most decent riding areas in Alberta are in the park or fluz zones so we have to drive to another province to compete for the handful of spots to enjoy our backcountry.

Doesnt matter what your transportation is we are all in the backcountry for the same reason....we love it. There will always be a$$hats from all different "communities" but to feel they can restrict who goes where is a crock of BS IMO!

If heli skiing is the big competitor cant they just stay out of our extremely small riding area and air lift off to the next inaccessible bowl by sled and eat their granola there? Let natural selection do the rest (for the most part). It is unfortunate when bad things happen to good people but there are a few that pushed the limits and payed the price.

Its too bad the greenies have us outnumbered 10-1 or more. Sledders are a diehard bunch but we are small in numbers in comparison.

........rant off

Ask the LEFT who is going to pay for road, trial maintenance when the rest are no longer allowed to recreate off road. Sad isn't it, that so many people vote left OR DON'T VOTE. Funny thing here is, which I had said years ago, now the left is fighting amongst themselves. All we can hope for is an implosion on their behalf...
