What should i do with my junk sled?

So i have a 1997 Polaris Super Sport 488, the body is in excellent shape for a 1997, it has aftermarket plastic skis, brand new carbides, brand new powermadd hand guards, a 4 inch powermadd non pivot riser, a fairly new track with 96 studs, brand new hand warmers with brand new grips, a brand new cobra windshield, and very clean. but the only thing is, its got a bad motor, skirt broke last winter and it ran quite a bit after that, damaging the crank. not sure of the extent of the damage i just know i dont think its worth fixing. so here is my problem, i was wondering what my best bet would be, sell as is (how much would it be worth? by the way it has 3600 miles) part it out (again, how much?) fix the motor (how much would that cost and how much would it be worth after that?) or buy a new motor off of craigslist or something and then turn around and sell it (again, how much?) im just not sure what do to with it. i found an 87 Indy trail with a rebuilt 488 in it for 350 on craigslist, so that's an option. any help with this would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!

If it was mine I would pick up the rebuilt 488 and put it in so I could sell as a complete running sled or keep it.

Perfect sled for a kid to transition from the 120 to a normal sized sled. Likely could get near a grand for a runner. Plenty of parts and complete old engines available to get it back in shape. If I were closer I'd buy it as is and throw a lowbuck engine in it for the daughter, but I'm in AK. Shipping would be more than a grand. Good luck whichever way you decide to go.
