What over the counter pills to use for dental pain?

My wisdom teeth are coming in funny, and hitting a nerve. Since seven pm, i've taken 7 Motrin, and it hasn't touched it.

Any thoughts?

this is one my grandpa told me a long ago(he was on a hunt and couldnt get to a dentist..ended up with a bad toothache..)...make a cup of water as hot as coffee...as soon as you can get a mouthful of it and hold it right on the sore spot..the heat kills the nerves..hurts like --- for a few minutes but works...might have to do it a couple times..but it works...

I tried that with cold already... i'm thinking that might be more painful than this damn toothache though, what with the burning and such?

cold makes it worse...hot kills the nerves...it works...you dont want it scalding hot..but as hot as you would drink coffee/tea...

cloves..just rest one in the general area...and if that don;t work and you have an old style battery with the caps just get a qtip and dip it in the battery acid and then smear it on the sore gum area..
