Heres what my pistons out of my 2014 pro look like after 500 miles, add oil to the gas and turned the oiler up. Put the bikeman durability kit in and I'm glad I did. Polaris really needs to get there engines figured out.

Looks fairly normal to me.
Not seeing the problem.

x2 every sled I've torn down has looked like this. Hell I tore down my 99 XC 700 @ 4000 miles for base gaskets the exhaust side of both pistons were all scuffed, could catch your finger nail on at least a dozen scuffs on each piston and I threw it back together like that, ran the sled until 8500 miles and still sold it with 125 PSI both sides. What do you think the problem is? Looks like pretty normal vertical teflon coating wear and rings were seated. Not a fan of adding inert oil to your tank if the oil pump is turned up, but to each their own..
Good luck with the BMP kit!
Good Lord. Sometimes I feel like I am back in the '70's with all these engine issues nowadays....... It would appear as though we are takng a step back into time.
