What motor can I fit into an '05 900 chasis?

I have access to an '05 900 with a bad motor but good chasis. I want to put a motor in it but not a 900 motor. What can I fit in there without a whole lot of trouble? Maybe nothing, I don't know, that's why I ask.

Are you good at fabricating? If so anythings possible. 05 700 or 900 will bolt in. will need to flash the ECU for a 700.

Actually, 05 900 motor only.... unless you want to fab like Zane said. Even the 06 motors will not bolt in due to interference with the upper 2 injectors.... you would have to change out the steering setup to an 06 style.

Why don't you want to put an 05 900 back in it? With the updates and proper setup they do real good.
