What kind of oil

I just bought an 08 Summit 600 SDI adrenaline for the wife (rev style), it has a 144 on it, I am wondering the goods and bad of this sled, and what kind of oil to run in it. Thanks for any input. We have never owned a Ski-Doo before, so I want to learn a bit about them.

oil

i've never been on one of those sleds before but in my ski-doo summit 800 i usualy do blue marble oil or amsoil dominator if i cant get blue marble..both work great for me and my brother. hope this helps

Thanks for the offer, thats awesome, but I still have a 4l jug of what he was using, I should call him and ask what he was using and maybe stick to that? How do you change the chaincase oil in these? I looked under and it looks like a small allen key bolt underneath, is that correct?

personally I have been running Quicksilver full synthetic from walmart. I run it in all of my injected engines. currently I have over 11000 on my 2003 mxz 700 still stock engine. my mod 700 as about 2000 miles on it and my mountain mod 700 has around 600. both the mod and mountain mod have some major porting and the mountain is running a t3-t4 turbo with about 11lbs of boost and the oil seems be handling the high turbo heat very well... The way I look at it is a 2stroke outboard can run w.o.t. all day long and takes more of a beating in one day than most snowmobiles take in their lifetime and how often do you hear of someone blowing up an outboard? also if you get a break down on the oils you will find that the quicksilver carries a little more zinc than most other synthetics, that helps protect your cylinders and any roller bearings better and I have been told to watch now with the gas this year at the pumps some oils do not go good with ethanol and have bad breakdown and seperation tendencies.. I have noticed this in the summer months on my pre-mix toys... oh yeah and it is only around $20-$25 a gallon here in michigan so that is real nice!!

good luck and enjoy your sled, make sure u grease all the grease points dont forget the steering, some people forget about those they're hard to get to on some sleds,u got to take the pipe off(if u have big hands).

Blue Marble or Phillips Injex, either should give you years of trouble free fun, I use both, splitting them among 6 machines for a long term test, oh and those outrageous claims that Blue Marble makes about their oil, from my experience they are true.
