What kind of air sock are you running on your turbos?

Would think it wouldn't be that hard, but the K&N I got to fit says right in the package that it is not waterproof. The snowmobile selection is limited and there is not one that will fit. 4" diameter by 7" long.

How important is a water proof sock? Shouldn't be a lot of snow gettin in there? Any suggestions?

Thanks

I haven't seen it in person, but I hear the new air filter that Push has for this year is the best one out.

I had the K&N sock but then I went to the Twisted cold air intake that takes air from behind the headlights. I didnt have any problems running the sock I didnt like sucking in all the warm air from underneath the hood, runs better with cold air intake on

Keep in mind the compressor is made to push air and not suck air. A basic rule is 3:1 for every lbs of vacuum is equal to 3lbs of boost. Keep the filter as big and open as possible. If you have 10lbs in the air box and 13lbs in the pipe with a open turbo. With a bad filter providing 1lbs of vacuum you may see 10lbs in the air box and 16-17lbs in the pipe. Not good for 2 strokes.

Call Boondockers about their new lightweight intake setup. It doesn't ice up like the old ones did and is much lighter and nicer.
