What it going to be??

Does your boss know you are surfing all morning and posting surfed web sites on snowest? Getting medical advice from snowest helps his premiums I'm sure.....:beer;:beer;:D

You may have just broken a man law!!

What man law would that be? I expect if we had some of our investment bankers getting called out to do actual work then things would be different on the news!!!

The only man laws I know of have to do with beer and women.....:D:beer;:D

I'm glad you replied to this, I couldn't have more than you in a day or that would be hypocritical....

Why I odda!!:mad::mad::mad:

Kinda' Nerdy, but my shot at it!

Looking at some Plain, WA annual snowfall data:

1. The Southern Pacific oscillation ocean surface temperatures, used to track El Nino/La Nina conditions, are on track to average -0.5° for 2008.
2. Plain’s Average since 1969 is 140”
3. Plotting the relationship between the annual snowfall and the SPO temp oscillation we can see an expected relationship between years with lower temperatures and an increase in the amount of annual snowfall. (See graph.)
4. Also keying in on the graph's specific range this years average oscillation will end up:
· Currently –0.81429° and trending toward –0.47787°.
· With input from recent warm and cold trends determining an error rate of ~0.2°, placing the range likely from –1° to 0°.
· There are 11 years with a higher than average annual snowfall and 3 with less.
· In the trend range near and slightly below -0.5° the result is 5 above average and none below.
· Taking into consideration that the expected trend is even more toward a neutral temperature oscillation where the results are 10 years above average snowfall to 1.

5. The trend shows an expected annual snowfall of 160” at Plain WA this year and according to the graph, with only 39 years of data, we are in a higher than average snow “sweet spot”.
6. The trend is 22% likely. With the unpredictability of individual storms this can be expected.
7. Looking at the annual snowfall power trend line in the second graph details that we are in an increasing snowfall trend.

Looks like we can expect 1 in 10 years really sucking.

I also think the snow timing, quality, and persistence will be key in most years.

I am going out on a limb and predicting another 200”+ year!

Ok smart guy............Explain Women to me!!!

I'm waiting!!!!:face-icon-small-win

Good Luck!! The minute I see someone be able to do that, I'm voting for them as president or King or whatever....I bet God is still wondering WTH he created.....:beer;:face-icon-small-win

Sure would be nice to get a year like last, but if it's even average then it'll be a good time!!

I want above average!!!! DAMNIT!!!

Thanks, I couldn't go another day without seeing that forcast. Now I can plan my whole winter.................

I've given up on the weather predictors, El NINO, EL NANO, EL FORDMAN, there all the same bottem line is there is always snow smewhere, ya just might have to go looking for it.

On a side note, I would like to do some riding over in the Winthrop area this year if anyone interested in some weekend trips, Get a cabin over there and ride a couple days. Snow west had a pretty good article on some areas over there.

I'm sure we can get Wimpy to show us his back yard, unless he had to sell his sleds to build his new house on the river.

Looking at the SNOW!, as I drove back over the pass tonight I was working up the courage to tell my wife I had already bought my Birthday, Christmas, next Birthday, ect... present until you made this point!

Now I am scared again, they (women) are just too unpredictable!

I have no answers, but advice for my buddy who gets his heart broken every year when the latest 19-22 year old dumps him. You had fun... and you didn't have to figure out how to get rid of them; you are King!! Now good luck finding your sugar mama and get used to being afraid!
