I found this small piece of ceramic in my belly pan yesterday with some heat tape wrapped around it. Its about the size of a postage stamp and 1/4" thick. See the attached photo. To the best of my knowledge, I don't think this came from anything under the hood of my sled did it?
A couple weeks ago, I had a weld shop do some welding on my bulkhead and I am thinking that it was something they used to sheild sparks and heat away from my motor and when it fell into the belly pan, they left it.
Sled is an '05 M7, please tell me this isn't something I need to research?
