What is the normal useage of a 2 stroke oil on a 2005 model of a 900 RMK?

My sled uses around 2/3 of the oil tank for a full tank of gas.
The oil pump wire is fine and the pump is not stuck. can the cable be adjusted?
The motor has recently be rebuild ,
when i got the sled it had a code for non working exhaust sensor ,
is it right that oil consumption is fully mecanic?

About 1 US quart per tank. Yes there is an adjustment on the oil pump. Do you have a stock oil cable? If you do it sounds like it may be sticking.

just to be safe I'd get the FBF, or motionpro replacement cable


I always pre-mix my tank at 1 oz/per gallon just to be on the safe side

I like to keep mine running pretty fat on oil... I would guess I am running about 32:1 - 35:1 which is about 3/4 of a quart in about 6 U.S. gallons. We usually use about 6-8 gallons on a ride and it usually takes almost a quart to top off the tank. I'd rather have the extra protection as my sled is quickly racking up the miles. I'm also a firm believer in topping off the oil tank before EVERY ride.
