I'm running this 66/44-42 ER helix right now with the stock spring ...

I know some of you guys are running less helix than this ....

If I am understanding this correctly, less helix angle, such as say a 66/40-38 or something along those lines .... would put more side force on the belt?

What other helix angles are you guys running? I know MH suggested putting in a slightly stiffer secondary spring with the 66/44-42 helix, but I am wondering what the effect I could expect with less helix would be ...

Post your thoughts on this.

less helix angle will give you more rpm's, slower aceleration, and quicker backshift....and slower upshift..just adding secondary spring pressure on the same helix will give you more rpm,slower upshift, and faster backshift....thats all I know....:beer;
