What is the difference viper vs mountain max motor?

The viper also has a poorly designed cooling system and an ugly timing curve.

I ran piped/ported/hi compression MMax motors for several years and never hurt one, not even a burnt piston.

Did the same mods to a Viper and blew it up 4 times in 2 years. Just my experience with them. Eric

For a mod motor I found the MM motor was tougher and straight forward the guys that went on to the vipers took 2 seasons to get them to work as well as the old MM's they replaced --- if i remember correctly --- long time since I did 2 strokes:D:D:D

Poor cooling system can be fixed and you can usually alter your timing for most motors it's just a matter of $$$$$:beer;:beer;

Oh, you mean somthing like SRX/mega power performance heads, coolant rail, thermostat housing?
And a complete 00-02 SRX wiring harness, stator, flywheel, and CDI box? ............Been there, done that and still blew it up. After that I was DONE!!!!

Eric
