What is the deflection supposed to be set at

Ok I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for. I'm putting a 10.4 secondary on my m7 and was wondering what the belt deflection needs to be set at, is it 1 1/8 to 1 1/4? Also how hard do you push on the belt to get the measurement? Thanks

On the M8 its 1 1/4 and you push down until you see the bottom move up just a little!

I thought that the tighter the higher it rides in the secondary sheave, I saw a spec somewhere I cant quote at the moment, but what it was, when the outside cog rides outside the sheave until the low spot of the cog was flush with the edge of the sheave. that was max and min was when the outside of the cog was flush with the sheave

Set it as tight as you can. Because the secondary can't float like the old one you need to keep the deflection tight for best performance.

Put the rear of the sled in the air. Keep tightening the deflection till the track just wants to creep at idle. To tight the track will roll along real easy too loose the track will not want to move at all. Just right is with the track just creeping.

Don.
