What is the best way to ship a sled

You have three options:
1. drive out and get it yourself.
2. pay a professional shipping company to move it for you. There are many companies that specilize in moving motorcycles, cars, boats and other things from one state to another.
3. Go to uship.com and try to find someone to move it for you. Uship.com sort of works like ebay. You post what you want moved and from where to where, and different shipping companies or individuals submit bids to move it. If someone happends to be driving that way, they can pull your sled on a u-haul trailer and make a few bucks pulling it to your location.

Last post has the right idea, you need to find a trucker headed that way with a little extra room. Have a way to get sled on trailer and a way to get it off at other end. Another idea would be to post in WA forum or craigslist for anyone headed that way. If you don't care about cost there are lots of transport companies but it will cost. Had a bike shipped from Ohio to Wa cost $850.

ask the seller to go to the close'st dealer and get the crate from a new sled to ship it in, they will be happy to give the seller one, whatever the make. then call around for the best price, on 2 that i sold abf was the best price it also helps alot if you can pick it up at the terminal and the seller can take it to the terminal

Well after I shipped my sled, i decided never to ship again. Not only did they drop it, they said they had recived it like that, that is not true becuse i was shipping it to myself and i knew it wasnt broke when i shipped it. Yes it a long drive, but trust me, a wrecked sled is worse!

the first two sleds I bought were from out of state. I drove there and picked them up. First one, seller met me a little way, saved me from driving through town. I went Everett, WA to Nampa, ID and back in one day.

Second, was outside of SLC. I planned to just drive there and pick it up, but it turned out that I had to drive back from Dallas, so I made sure my route took me through SLC instead.

Depending on where in WA it is, you could always make a trip out here, to pick it up, and ride, make it a 4-day weekend, and ride here the middle two days. Just an idea. (I know you get better snow, but hey, it's an idea.)
