What is the best way to fix cracked hoods?

I blew my hoods into a few pieces after hiting a rock, right now it is stitched together with zip ties i was wondering if there was a way to fix it, i was thinking about fiberglass and paint, would that adhere to the plastic?

Go to a auto body shop an get duramix 40/40. It works really good! Just bought a sled wit a cracked hood, sanded it down, filed out the crack in a V from both ends and drilled 1/8th holes at the ends of cracks. Applied glue. sanded down. Another coat of glue. on the back i also added in wire mesh wit the glue. Sanded all smooth and painted over. Everyone suggests a single stage automotive paint, where i went to they suggested endura. So far so good. Good luck just take your time wit it. Way better than wire an zipties

I just fixed mine and used lord fusor 143, you can get it at any wutobody supply shop. its for TPO and it work good. Definately all about prep work. Sand really well with 80 grit and get a good rough surface so the adhesive has something to bond to.make sure the surfqace is clean after you sand it. and use the surface modifier and make sure to let it dry. only thing that sucks is the applicator gun is 50 bucks. the tubes of adhesive are around $20. This stuff dries super fast and is no longer workable after a minute once its been mixed so get some extra applicator tips for the gun. two come with the tube of adhesive, but to get the most out of the tube you need more because the stuff dries so fast the applicator tip gets clogged because it is filled with the mixed adhesive. dont force it out either becasue you will blo out the tube and it will go to waste.

Apply then spread then lay the mesh down then applu more and spread. dont wait to spread the adhesive because once its starts to set it wont spread or stick for crap.
