I have the Oles riser on my Dragon. It will be going on my new Pro when it comes in this fall. I'm pretty sure I went with a 4" riser on mine. The thing you have to take into account with this type of riser is that you are removing the factory riser peices which was 1 1/2" on my Dragon so I actually only had an additional 2 1/2" of rise over the stock setup. My reason for getting this brand was that it doesn't allow the steering post to "flex" like the two piece risers will.
Because I don't like being hunched over all day while riding. I almost never sit down. Even when we go down the trail to get to a riding area I would rather stand. Just my personal opinion. I'm sure for some the bars are too high, for some they are just right and for some like me they are too low.
All our guys been using the power madd 2 or 3 in and have had no problems. I too hate being hunched over all day you need the top piece from a dragon to make the hex bolts work thou
I'm 6'2" tall and stand a lot as well. I don't see the need to spend a lot of money here seeing how the bars themselves pivot. These should work great and come in various heights.
i used the polaris riser block. simple and easy and it works. they come in 1inch or 2 inch. i will probaby get the 2inch ground down to 1 1\2 this summer.
I'm 6'3" and I went with the powermadd 2" riser. You need to get apx. 2" longer 6mm socket head bolts to use your stock caps. (preferably stainless steel, got mine at Tacoma screw products)
I went with PMadd 2", I think 1.5" would be *just right*. A 1" would prob be fine. I'm 6'2" barefoot, for ref.
I feel much more comfy riding the wooped out trails, it was very hard on the knees squating over for the bars before... No more sore knees.
For 25$, its pretty cheap thing to 'try' for your own person. If it doesn't work, resell the riser for 20$...
Also, you can go to the hardware store and get different bolts and use the stock hardware. My hw store didn't have the allen heads, but I used some 'machine' screws/bolts that had phillips heads. Ground down the heads of the bolt till they fit into the stock cup. Good to go!
do the stock wires and cables reach with a 4 inch riser? I too like my bars high. I like to lock my knees and not be hunched over when sidehilling--makes for less fatigue at the end of the day.
