What is the best deal 4 year or 2 year with gear

IMO it depends on how long your going to keep your new sled. I just bought a '13 poo 163 800 with 4 year warranty. I would'nt own a polaris without a warranty while I own it. If you are going to put after market parts that void the warranty then of course choose the two year warranty.

I would say the 4 year for sure, unless you're going to void the warranty with mods. Even if you don't keep the sled that long, it will help you sell it. Everyone I know that was looking for a used Pro, wanted to find ones with the longest warranty left. Plus riding with warranty = peace of mind.

I ride a 12 assualt I only got the 1 year warrenty bad call on my part. piston skirt went threw the bottom end had to get entier new motor. lucky for me I have a good dealer. Next pro I get will have longest warrenty possible.

Ya really depends on the miles you plan to put on per year, and where you ride most. Going to be to the pin every mile you put on in hard working areas? 4 year for sure. Myself I make 4-5 trips per year a few days at a time to the mountains. Local riding is good but not hard work for the sled so I went and am going with the two year with money for extras I don't like forking out cash for.

Like some posters already said if you are going to mod it, get the 2 year and the gear. Most of the gear is way overpriced so to me the $600 doesn't mean much. Also I don't plan to mod mine and the 4 year warranty helps with resale so for me its pretty easy - 4 years.

It's simple, you have to meet only two requirements to lock on a four year with the poo:

1. You will ride it for at least two seasons, and

2. You will keep the motor stock.

If you flip every year, you are usually money ahead with the 2 year. It could be easier to sell with the four year, but you won't be cash ahead. If you can't keep a sled motor stock, and we know who we are, get the two year.

By all means get the 4 yr , don't worry about modding it it will take you places you shouldn't be stock.

If you do decide to go with the 2 yr. you should be able to get an additional $450 knocked off the price in lieu of taking the $600 in accessories. Talk to your dealer, as that was an option that I had on my '13 SC. I ended up going with the 4 yr. bump to bump. As mentioned, it's a damm good resale feature. Good luck with your purchase.
