If all you are ever in is deep, dry powder and you never see a trail, the attack 20 is probably the best until the new Powerclaw gets more snow time. The maverick is probably next for powder, but not for durability, then the challenger extreme for all-around, then a finger track for hardpack or wet snow.

I ran a challenger extreme last season and am not impressed with it in the powder. I am looking at the A20 but just wanted some more opinions. I don't now much about the maverick is it a good track?

The Challenger may not be the best at everything but I think its the best all around track on the market. Very durable and climbs well too. In nearly 6000kms I havent ripped or torn a lug and sadly I ride a lot of groomed trails. I also ride a lot of asphalt and gravel early and late in the year.

I plan on running my Challenger Extreme anytime I head to the big hills or when the snow is set up but we get a lot of deep snow days in North Idaho and when its that deep you don't even make it to the big hills. I got stuck way too much and had my *** handed to me way to often on the deep days because the extreme trenches soooo bad. I plan on swapping tracks out severl times this comming season. I want a track that will keep me afloat.

if you got a camo extreme, and your still trenching you need to either check the suspension setup, or maybe drop a few yerself. a 162 camo extreme will take a sled with enough power plenty high. buddy swapped one out from his KK that had a A20, he says the extra 1/4 inch and the better lugs make it a much more usefull track, and its about the same on deep pow days.

camo extreme gets my vote.

I was at cutlers looking at the powder claw this morning. That is one sweet track. Straight paddles, hooked fingers, its going to be hard to beat IMO. I dont know that I am ready to drop $849.00 on a track though (that is the price I was quoted for a 162) By the way he has 6 in stock right now ready to sell.

I really like my attack 20 that I turned to hillclimb and then straightened the paddles. Before i straightened them it trenches like crazy. After being straightened its a whole new track. Not all that durable though. 2 seasons and its time for a new track. I am going to go maverick this year, 16 wide 162 under my king.

I have a buddy that runs a camoplast extreme 162 on his king and it does trench a little in soft powder, and thats what we like to ride.

Just wanted some input on what you guys precieve to be the best powder track.

I know what I like but..... what I'll do is tell you what my top sellers are.

For Turbo Nytro's, RX & Apex Camo Extreme 9936M 174x16x2.5 then the 9944 162x16x2.5 or the 9975 156x16x2.5
Non Turbo Yamaha's: True Camoplast Maverick 9030 162x16x2.25 or the 9985 153x15x2.25 TRUE Challenger. And 9974 or 9975 just incase you put Turbo on your Nytro later !;)

Doo's & 05 & older KK & M/Cat's: Powdermax 144's use 9939 and 9940 for 151x16x2.3 in 2.52 pitch or 9941 159x16x2.3 or 9979 162x16x2.3
TURBO DOO's & 05 and older KK & M/Cat's Same as above PLUS the 9952 Extreme for the 144's or the 9975 Extreme for 151 and 9944 for 159 & 162's

Poo's 04 & older can use 16" wide (it's nice & tight):D 9023C Ported 159 or 9985 153 True Challenger for the 151"s and 9986 for the 159's you need 8 tooth extroverts to clear front cooler.
Turbo & NON Turbo Poo's & A/C M's 05 & newer all 15" wide only: 151's use the 9985 or the 9974 Extreme also use the 9974 on the 155 Dragon's. The 159's use the 9986 TRUE Challenger (not the A/C track) or the 9943 Camo Extreme.
Poo's 166x15x2.4 Why would anyone change this track ????????

In a nut shell The Extreme will take the abuse of a Turbo sled! And don't drill so dam many holes in them. LOL :beer;

Drivers: If you are going to go through the work of changing the track why wouldn't you put extroverts in !!!!!!!::clock::beer;
Hope this helps those who aren't keyboard experts.;):beer;

Attack 20

Loved the Attack 20 in the deep, however we don't have too many deep days here, well last year was an exception. I hated the thing in the spring, turned it around hooked up good going up, but comming down was another story. Switched to the Maverick and loved it, seemed to be a great all around track, held up great for two seasons! :)

Track

I rode the new M8 with cats new track and I was really impressed! They seemed to hook up awesome on all the snow conditions we rode.
So the new Cat track would get my vote. They are 3" pitch so you might need to contact Avid for some drivers.

I see there are alot of attack 20 fans here.

My buddy has one and wouldn't give the stink of his crap for another one.
They are too one dimensional, good at one thing, really really bad at everything else.

the A20 works awesome in the powder but not so great when climbing steep or in hardpack. flip it around and its a monster trencher but with correct throttle response awesome for climbing, but sucks coming downhill. ive heard that the polaris series 5 is a really good track, buddy works for a polaris dealer and really likes it for a good overall track.
