What is Faceted snow vs Hoar

I am meeting some friends from Minnesota this week in West Yellowstone. 2 of them have never been out west. I want to give them some avalanche basic training but haven't really come up with a clear explanation for faceted snow and how it differs from Hoar or Depth Hoar.

Any help will be appreciated.
