what invovlved in changing front shock with heavy duty

Are you under the impression that this is a front shock spring? And your trying to put more downward pressure on your ski with a heavier spring?

IMO, You need to start with your other post and do what was suggested to fix the steering, which it will. Then move to replacing things

If your he77 bent on replacing that front track shock spring, when the sled is in the air and you're moving your limiters, that would be the time to do it.

Do some searches in the forums under "Rear Track Shock" "Front Track Shock" " Limiter Straps" "Heavy Steering", etc

the 225lb spring will help make the sled feel lighter in the front..its worth the $$ for sure..get it

if you do much trail and much powder, you will most happy with your limiter straps in the middle hole...make sure your front track shock is also in the upper hole (shock straight up, not layed down) that will help take some weight off the front end as well..

with this stuff, it will take the front load off and prevent the heavy front trenching..

to go with your steering post..

get a set of some HOLZ spindles, or the 08+up OEM polaris spindles..much better geometry and will dramtically help in steering..

also make sure your skis are aligned and you have proper toe-in/out

you may also need to replace/rebuild your front shocks..but that depends on what you have now..

i have the new 09 HOLZ spindles, floats, zbroz a-arms, lower limiter strap hole, 225lb spring...and i can litterally turn on a dime now...LOVE IT!!

thanx for all the input..i seriously feel like i went to the gym and did an arm/shoulder workout after our 5 hour ride.. we go pretty fast ave. around 70+ but with the heavy steering im definently working harder than the rest and beat when done for the day..also it would be nice to take the corners a little faster and a lighter front end would def. help achieve this..thanx again
