what HD Camcorder are you using?

Looking for a HD camera to mount on a Sled and get other footage of riders. What are you all using? How is the quality? Does it with stand bouncing? Does the Video blurr when recording?

I can't seem to find a camera that takes good quality and can capture the amount of motion it needs too.

Any help is wanted

Thanks

i just ordered the new contour hd from sled solutions and from the video ive seen with it, it looks real good, pretty affordable to imo

This is what I shoot with, but wouldnt strap a handheld cam on a sled or helmet at all, I would go for the contourhd from sled solutuions for the sounds of what you want to do.

As far as POV stuff and still having hd of other riders.

Depends on what you want to spend as well.

We have a helmet cam already but I was looking for something I could also take off the sled and look through a screen and video with.

500 or less range is what I was looking for but I dont know if there is anything out there worth buying to get decent quality with the enviroment the camera will be in.

I bought the Panasonic HDSC hand held camcorder and I love it, It takes awesome quality footage and I got it on ebay for about 400 bucks. I filmed me and my friends last winter sledding and I have been filming Mule Deer bucks through a Swarovski spotting scope for over a month now and it does an incredible job for how little and light weight it is.

You may want to look into it, I have really enjoyed mine. It has HDMI hook ups for HD tv's and records clean and crisp footage

A couple of competitive ones that I was looking at were these two models. keep in mind the prices were a couple months ago at best buy.

JVC MG67 479.00

Sony CX100 599.00

My wife and I are looking for a handheld - does anyone have experience with the Canon Vixia series? We are looking at the memory card models (no moving parts)

thoughts?
