What handle bar position works best for you?

Thanks. Been wanting to try mine forward a little. Moved them to +1 and really helped with balance and handling. One more piece of the setup puzzle for me personally.

I run mine at -2 via a swap for some Pro Taper KLX-110 bend bars. Works amazingly well for tree riding and flickability in the air, but I'm only 5'-9 so that may be the reason. There sure are a lot of riders I see now though going lower on this thing, it all depends on where you ride and riding style though.

YO!.... Diddy

I found the PRO-PT's too tall for me too... but I'm short.

Could you please post up some pics of the bars from different angles and a part number and source for these....Much appreciated.

If you are feeling generous... could you hold the old bars up against the KLX-110 bars???

Here's the only clear non riding pics I have at the moment so you can see the bars.

The part # for the black bars is: 02-5302 on Pro Taper's site.

I'll try and take some pics of the stock bars against the lower one's when I get my sled back. It's currently on loan to Gardiner while I'm hurt for the next 2 weeks and his turbo pro is down.

Diddy...Thanks for that... Gardnier will be flashy in the next Boondockers movie for sure!

A couple of questions if you have the time..

Do the 02-5302 bars have knurling on the left side... if so, what did you do about that for the grip heaters.

How does the angle of the rise and sweep of these bars compare to the stock units?

Again, Thank you for taking the time to post those up!

Yeah the 02-5302 bars do have knurling on the left. I just use the Pro Taper grip glue (essentially a big bottle of super glue) and put some rubber bands around the heater for a few mins while the glue dries and it's good to go. The biggest problem with these bars is the fact that the inner wall tapers so soon because they are meant to be run super wide. If you have a 9/16" drill it's no big deal though, and only takes but a minute to modify to fit your bar hooks.

As far as angles are concerned, these bars have less back sweep and more up sweep than the stock Pro Tapers. This took a little bit to get used to, but after a half day I didn't even remember the stock bars and I love these.

I think a benefit to using these over say the RSI's that many people are using is that there's plenty of room for adjustment. You can start really wide and cut the bars down as you see fit. Also unlike the RSI's, your brake lever isn't basically touching your handlebar hook, which I find super annoying. Oh and I am in no way bashing on RSI, it's just the only other aftermarket bar I have experience with on the Pro so far.

I will be getting lower bars for next season. When shopping different bends I came across the pro taper raptor bend, part #02-5293 black. It is very similar to Diddy's bar. It is about 1" narrower, same hieght, little less rise, narrower clamp area, twice as much sweep. looking at either this bar or the 02-5302 for next year
