What does your turbo nytro weigh full of fuel?

Looking at buying a turbo four stroke. Just want to compare ball park weights of a few different sleds. Please list light weight mods if any.
Thanks

Turbo fourstrokes all weigh in around the same with turbo kits +/- 30 lbs, this includes nytro and apex, if your looking for a light weight sled stick with 2-strokes. BTW 4-strokes are only heavy when they get stuck, which is rare. They are light as a feather when the skiis are constanly in the air. Just my opinion.

I know they will be close but have no idea what number they are close to? I am looking for wet weight of real customer turbo sleds not BS manufacture dry weights. I have found a custom carbon fiber sled I am interested in, but want to see how much lighter it really is. It weighs 550 pounds full of fuel with 330hp and a apex motor. Just trying to see what sled combo i am going to go with. I am done with two strk's. Wanna go fast and hard every day. I love HP's but I am sick of wrenching. I thought the Nytro's were lighter? Just want to do my home work. As you know this is a big financial commitment.
thanks for all replies

Man if that sled really weighs 550 pounds wet that is freaking light! I have rode a full timbersled apex with a mcx turbo and when on the throttle it dosen't feel all that heavy. 90 pounds is a lot. Hmmmmm.

550 is light, it would be awesome with the apex engine too, to answer your first question, my guess would be 600-630lbs fully loaded. Not light but as mentioned only feels that way when stuck hehe. Glad to hear your going 4-stroke, you'll never look back.

if your buying a totally custom sled weight wouldn't be my first concern . i would be looking at how well built the chassis is and how available parts are for it ? is it a one off type sled ? My nytro 163 did come in at 590 full with a cr tunnel ,skid and hood and a bunch of other stuff last year . but like others have said you re ahead of the game if you can get a apex motor in a lightweight rider forward chassis

Hopefully if all works out I am going to go look and ride the sled this weekend. It is a M-series chassis with a mid-mount turbo apex motor. It kinda uses a combo of Cat parts, Doo parts and Yami powertrain. The sled is a personal sled of C3 Power Sports in BC and from doing some research they seem do be a very reputable company. Maybe someone near Salmon Arm has seen it in action? They have been very helpful with my persistant questions. Looking foreward to meeting the crew.
Thanks guys for the much needed help.:face-icon-small-hap

I've seen a few of their sleds but not on the hill and they are pretty nice. If I am not mistaken the 550 would also be with 15 gallons of fuel cause their integral fuel tank is huge. If a guy can get a custom Nytro that is not Carbon Fiber under 600 ready to ride he's done a pretty decent job of lightweighting.

IMO truck scales are not designed to weigh stuff under a few thousand lbs.

I weighed mine with a digital hanging scale and it was 600lbs full of fuel. With a little more work and $$$ i could have easily dropped another 15lbs. I run a muffler off my turbo which adds a good amount of weight as well as the stock end.

550lbs with 15 gal of gas is pretty impressive

I think Allen only has the one with the Apex motor in it and i rode with him a few weeks back in castlegar. The sled ran good all weekend and looked like it made good power! So I'm sure will enjoy. The guys from C3 seem to be all good guys so IMO. they would be good to deal with. I'm sure they will look after you down the road having a one off sled, so that would be a issue. No... I'm not good Friends with them so not trying to feed ya a line. If i thought the sled was junk or what have ya i would say. Cheers Louie

Yea you are right it is Allen's sled. We road Boulder on friday and it was awesome. Blue skies and sunshine all day. I got to put a full day on the Mpex and the more I road it the more I liked it. It was easy to sidehill and tree ride as my Cutler M7 but with 130 more hp. They have a carbonfiber timbersled skid in it now and it handled the ruff trail great. The sled needs a little cosmetic work to the wiring to make it look good under the hood and the yami track sucks it just folded over. Other then that the only thing I noticed was a little oil dripping out of the air intake. Al says this is fixed with a turbo scavenging pump. Is he right or is this a problem? It currently dosen't have a pump on the turbo return line. I will post some pics soon.
