What does Ambassador mean to you?

I'm seeing this word used alot these days..... Ambassador to the sport of Snowmobiling for example.

What does this mean to you guys/gals?

It means that said individual supports snowmobiling ethics.

Respects all boundaries and follows all laws.

Teaches the same skills to others without expecting to be paid obscene amounts of money for it.

Is willing to support the fight to keep public lands open FOR ALL USERS!

Is respectful towards others on and off the trail or in the backcountry, regardless of what they believe.

Does what he/she can to support sledding and keeping it alive.

Volunteers to do backcountry cleanup after the snow goes away to remove trash, whether it be sledder's garbage or other's.

Shows an obvious love for the sport and the outdoors by being as respectful and clean as possible.

Packs it in, packs it out.

Couldn't have said it any better.
I have a good friend on this sight that is exactly that. He goes by baDmax.

well said, don't give anyone a chance to throw sledders under the bus, if you love your sport, support it. without ambassadors for the good, the greenies and sled-haters would surely win and we'd be stuck indoors for some of the most enjoyable months of the year.

Yep. A person who represents the interest of said activity (or whatever context it's being used in) in the best way possible for that sport and does everything right. They live it, model it, and promote it outside the realm of it's members.

An ambassador represents the image of what that sport should be.

like this guy?
