What do you guys think of the Pro Ride defrost bag?

It will work with no windshield if a guy wanted but will look kinda funny imo. I just installed it and thought it is a pretty nice design and installs easily. I am hooked on heated bags after having the underhood bag last year.

Pro Defrost bag

It is an innovative design that looks good and will work great to keep my gloves & goggles defrosted. It was one of the first accessories that I ordered.

I got to use the proto for a day last year... the bag works well... and I rolled the sled to get it unstuck (stock windshield) in firmer snow a couple of times (Brandy and Brent can attest to that).

It worked well and had a good amount of storage in it. I dont think I'd put the key switch in it though.

Mismatch with Low windshield

I like the Defrost bag on a Low windshield almost as much as Horsepower/ and Can Threads. On the stock Mid windshield it fits well. It's appearance suggest it should come with a Modular Helmet

i pick one up myself this year. i normally don't run a windshield b/c i ALWAYS break them rolling my sled over to get unstuck. i'm going to try to run one this year with the bag and see how it goes. looks like they should help protect/support each other. time will tell. the idea is pretty outstanding either way though. puts the gauge where it should be in the first place, imo. and if you are concerned about the key, don't run it and just use your kill switch.

haha

I ride a Pro and they don't get stuck so I don't need to roll my sled over lol

I installed one of these bags as soon as I got my 13 home. but the more I look at it, the key location is going to be a problem for rolling the sled FOR SURE. I looked around for other spots to put the ignition but I want to retain the use of my e-start. Looks like the bag will be coming back off... too bad, I liked the idea.

Can you leave the key switch inside the bag? I am not familiar on how you extend the wiring from the ignition.
If you could leave the ignition inside that would be a safe place ?

Yup you sure could, probably could even leave it in its stock location under the bag and cut an access hole (dont quote me on this). But this would stop me from being able to use the estart I payed for! For pull start sleds I imagine leaving the key switch inside the bag is a good choice.

Put the key back where it was by the three switches for lights and hand warmers. I agree the key would be easy to break off or steal.

Christmas gift

Hi Guys,
Any chance that one of you who has installed it could post up some real life pictures. My dad just bought a 600 RMK 144, and I'm thinking that either this one or this other one would make a great christmas gift for him. I just can't decide which one to get. Or if any of you have pics of this under the hood bag, please share those as well, as I'm trying to decide which, of the two, he will like more.

Thanks

Fyi, RSI has one for 20 bucks that you can put a pair of goggles in and attach it under the hood to dry them out. This polaris one is ridiculously large and dumb looking IMO

No pics for ya man, but this bag is much cheaper and is nice. Fits well and easy to put under the hood. Can fit a pair of goggles and a pair of gloves, maybe even an extra or 2.
